SHU Rugby Club

A club with an expansive history on and off the field. Sheffield Hallam University Men's Rugby Union Club has produced and developed a range of top quality players some of whom have represented country and premiership clubs. A developing club who's aim is to carry forward the success of the teams over the past few years. The first team has gained promotion four times in the last five years and were Varsity Champions for three years between 2003 and 2005. A narrow 6 - 3 victory gave the title back to Uni of Sheffield in March 2006.

2003: 36-21

2004: 28-21

2005: 31-11

2006: Hallam 3 - Uni 6

This years aim is for the first team to continue establishing themselves in the current league, BUSA Premiership B North, and the second team to push for promotion.
